The story of moyglare stud.
The portfolio of moyreal holding also includes moyglare stud, which is located in the west of the Irish capital, Dublin. It represents an established passion for riding.
Walter Haefner, Eva Maria Bucher-Haefner’s father, was over 40 years old when he mounted a horse for the first time. He quickly became fascinated by thoroughbreds and horse racing. In 1963, Haefner even won the European cup for amateur riders at the age of 53.
A year earlier, he had acquired a farm in Ireland, which he named moyglare stud. World-class racehorses have been bred there ever since.
Eva Maria Bucher-Haefner and her two children continue to run the stud farm today in the spirit of their horse-loving father and grandfather.

Horse breeding and horse racing.
In contrast to many other breeding farms, moyglare stud only owns broodmares that are covered by external top stallions. The yearlings of the mares are then either sold at auction or sent to their own racing stable for training.
A long list of winning horses have worn the moyglare racing colors of black, red and white in locations ranging from Ireland and England to the USA, Japan, Hong Kong, Dubai and Australia.
The outstanding mare among the many successful broodmares is Polished Gem, who has produced ten winners, including Search for a Song, the winner of the Irish St Leger Group 1 race. She is also the dam of Kyprios, the stud’s most successful horse to date. The stallion has won 15 of his 19 races, including the top-class Group 1 races of the Ascot Gold Cup and the Goodwood Cup twice in 2022 and 2024.

Kyprios, the wonder horse.
Kyprios, a stallion born in 2018, is moyglare stud’s greatest breeding success to date. He is one of the best long-distance racehorses the world has ever seen, with exceptional stamina and an impressive desire to win. In 2024, he again won the most prestigious races at the
Ascot Gold Cup and the Goodwood Gold Cup after his previous success in 2022. In the meantime, he had been forced to take a break due to a serious injury, but was able to make a triumphant return after a long recovery period, giving a spectacular demonstration of his class.
